LEVEL 2 TECHNICIAN 

**Please be advised this position is located in WHITE SALMON, WA. approximately a 60 minute drive east of Portland/Vancouver, please be aware that this job would require commuting daily to the office, however company benefits do include a company vehicle and a gas card**

GENERAL SUMMARY: 

The NOC Technician Level II is responsible for managing and maintaining our end client’s networks. Ensuring client satisfaction and resolving more complex issues their networks are essential in this position. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

The NOC Technician Level II position is a key contributor in the success of managing our client’s networks.  This is achieved by quickly resolving more complicated, more technical or more difficult incidents that our clients open tickets for and by constantly monitoring the alerts generated by our tools to resolve incidents before our clients are aware.

  • Ability to work on multiple priorities and/or projects simultaneously 

  • Excellent listening and communications skills, both verbal and written

  • Organized, detail oriented and self-motivated 

  • Ability to provide and maintain detailed documentation on service ticket 

  • Strong computer skills and the ability to effectively communicate through e-mail  

  • Intermediate knowledge in firewalls, routers, layer 2/3 switches, wireless access points, point to point/bridges, and other networking devices 

  • Intermediate knowledge in managing Microsoft Server Operating Systems and Networks 

  • Advanced knowledge of all Microsoft Workstation Operating Systems and common productivity applications 

  • Intermediate knowledge in cloud productivity SaaS applications such as Office365 and Google Apps. 

  • Basic command line, powershell and SSH experience 

  • Ability to remain in contact with the client thru the completion of the incident 

  • Advanced critical thinking and problem-solving abilities utilizing past experiences and best practices as well as the ability to meet reasonable deadlines 

  • Ability to build positive and collaborative relationships with both team members and clients 

  • Willingness and ability to develop professionally 

  • Ability to work with little supervision and as a member of a team 

 

Expected Outcomes: 

  • Success in the NOC Technician I position will be based on your ability to meet or exceed our client’s expectations, by exceeding the SLA (Service Level Agreements) put in place for the various agreements and for maintaining acceptable service metrics 

  • The team will be graded on the profitability of the client agreements and on the amount of incidents that are able to be resolved before affecting the clients. 

 

Educational/Vocational/Previous Experience Recommendations: 

  • 4 year degree in System Administration, Network Administration or equivalent is preferred 

  • A+, NET+, Server+ Certifications (or equivalent) are preferred 

  • Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) is preferred 

  • 5+ years’ experience in computer network management is required 

  • Experience in managing end client networks is required 

  • MSP Experience is preferred

  • Normal professional, office environment.
